Description: Size: 87 x 139 mm A hand-coloured postcard of Smith Street looking south from Johnston Street and showing numbers 338 to 200 approximately. On the left are the 'Stanford Buildings' housing George Wardrop the tailor at number 338, Frederick W. Luce the grocer at number 334 and J. E. Booth the chemist and dentist at number 332. Other buildings include a tobacco merchant, Allan's photo studio at number 318, the Albion Hotel on the corner of Perry Street and Moran and Cato at number 284. A Clifton Hill tram is waiting for passengers to board and a number of children are standing on the edge of the road without fear of traffic.
