Description: 1 b&w photograph. This photograph shows Sir Thomas Bent's statue in it's old position before the highway was widened. It stood on a granite pedestal on the corner of Bay St and Point Nepean Rd. It was unveiled on 27/10/1913 by the Lieutenant Govenor, Sir John Madden. The road is being widened. Thomas Bent(1838-1909) was a councillor of Brighton/Moorabbin for 45 years, representative of the Legislative assembly for Brighton for 32 years and Vic Premier 1904-1909.
