Description: B&W photograph of the hitching post which Adam Lindsay Gordon tethered his horse during his residence in Brighton 1869-70. On 20th Oct 1945 the united victuallers (public-house licensee) erected the post on the corner of Park and New Streets with a cage and plaque. It now stands beside the entrance of the Marine Hotel In New St Brighton
