Description: Sepia photograph, 10.5 x 15cm. This photograph shows Lithca, the residence of James Hardie, businessman, 1851-1920. He commenced the company Hardie & Co. in 1887 and supplied chemicals and dye stuffs to the tanning industry. Later, he imported fibro cement sheeting.
