Description: Holly Green was built by Thomas & Eliza Walton who arrived in Narre Warren in 1852. In 1880, the property was purchased by Sidney and Ann Webb. Sidney Webb (1844-1920) was a Newsagent, who founded the Victorian Authorised Newsagents Association. Sidney Webb gets a lot of well deserved credit for the development of Narre Warren but in the back ground was his wife Ann Hart. They married in 1866 and she bore him fourteen children from 1866 to 1886, of which four died under the age of six months between 1870 and 1875. Ann died in 1914, aged 70. Charles Duplan Lloyd (1863-1937) purchased the Holly Green property in 1924, from the Webb Family, and moved his Glen Iris jersey cattle stud from Glen Iris to Holly Green. When his nephew, John Lloyd, inherited the property in 1937 he demolished Holly Green and built Brechin.
