Description: View of Warrnambool township during the days of early settlement, one of several panoramic views photographed on 22 May 1860. Taken from Cannon Hill looking north along Banyan Street. Notable buildings include Steven and Denneys bond store, whitewashed National school, Plaumber' flour mill, Hastie's little white-fronted saddlery. Outside Warrnambool's first hotel waits 'Bob', horse belonging to local carrier Jimmy Drewett.
