Description: Image provided by Tom McCarthy of Michigan. Andrew Cody was born in 1896. He called himself Andy. He married Mary Ellen Murphy and died in 1957. He was the son of John Cody and Mary Lawrence, and was probably named after his maternal grandfather Andrew Lawrence. The family lived in Hawke Street West Melbourne in the 1890s and ran a boarding house in King Street and later in Lonsdale Street.
