Description: Object 2 polished chromed tin lamps. Embossed. Inscribed: The Miller Lamp Made in USA . Dimensions 24 in. In good condition. Glass missing from one lamp; one canopy only remains. Further historical information and text available from the Alexandra Library. The lights were found during a 'spring clean' of a large shed behind the Shire Offices. The 2 large hanging lamps that were found were coated in dust but were still impressive looking. The lamps were transferred to the care of the librarian. who visualised them as attractive ornaments for the library. as well as relics of interest from the point of view of local history. The task of cleaning the lamps was generously undertaken by Mrs. Koop and they emerged from her hands as gleaming silver. They were discovered to be Miller lamps made in the U.S.A. Alexandra Library -- display.
