Description: Coloured photograph of timber house in The Avenue, Blackburn, Victoria, designed and built in 1925 by Algernon Elmore. The house was built for Mrs James, daughter of Thomas Richard Burrowes Morton. It later became part of the facilities of the The Avenue Uniting Church and was used as a neighbourhood community centre. Photo shows side verandah. Elmore Walks were conducted from Blackburn Library in September 1994 to explore the local architecture, especially the Elmore bungalows. (Photo part of library collection)
