Description: Lot 8 (20 acres) was purchased by George Augustus Robinson in 1840 at the sale of Crown lands in Prahran. He was the Chief Protector of the Aborigines. Upon the site he built an eleven-room substantial home, in which he remained until 1852. In 1855, Mr. William Montgomerie Bell became the owner and resided there for some years. Pictured, the home, with verandahs on two sides, trees and shrubs.
