Description: The grounds were selected at the entrance of the drive to Orrong where resided Mr. Alfred Ross. The drive became Clendon Road, named after Miss Fanny Clendon Howard. Work on the building commenced in April 1860, completed 23 October of that year. On 13 July 1862, the Church was formally opened in the presence of the Governor and Lady Barkly. The first priest was the Rev. Walter Fellows. In 1873, the tower and steeple, west end of the nave and organ loft in the tower, were erected. Detailed notes accompany this photo (pp79-82).
