Description: Mrs. Grace Alexander, widow of Thomas Alexander, the Governor of the Arsenal at Mauritius, arrived in Melbourne in 1854 in the 'Kent', and built the residence near her married daughter Mrs. Charles Forrest. Shows a lean-to adjacent to the house.
