Description: A close-up view of the front entrance, showing two marble urns on marble pedestals, and the verandah covered with vine. Around 1863, Ellerslie was owned by Capt. Charles Forrest. Later, he sold it to 'Como' Brown, who died there in 1871. Mr. Gordon became the next tenant, after whom was named the street in which the house is located.
