Description: Black and white photoprint copy of a colour photo of the Prahran Markets during redevelopment in the 1970s. This image shows the Meat Arcade, looking north. The walkway on the RHS allowed truck access for butchers, and off this laneway was the furnace room for hot water. Market renovations were completed in May 1981 at a cost of $6.5 million. See Wilde (1993) pp 136-140 for details.
