Description: Black and white photograph of a large group of children exuberantly crossing a main road (note tram tracks) under the guidance of an authoritatively clad council officer. Two cars and a cyclist await his instructions. The location of the pedestrian crossing is not known, though presumably it was close to a local school - perhaps Hawksburn on Malvern Road or Prahran West on High Street.
