Description: Photo of vacant land in Browning Street, South Yarra. The hand written annotation on the back refers to a 'new playground', but only a solitary set of swings supports this grand description. The smoke stack behind the houses is part of the municipal destructor in Surrey Road, to the north. Browning Street became part of the Horace Petty Housing Estate in the early 1960s.
