Description: On 24 March 1927, Prahran City Council convened a conference on the advancement of public libraries. From this the Library Association of Victoria was set up at a subsequent meeting at Prahran. Cr Woodfull was elected vice president, and Mr A.E. McMicken, the City Librarian, was elected the Secretary. This photo shows those who attended that inaugural meeting. See page 33 for details.
