Description: One of a series of photographs (#12881-12893) taken prior to the demolition of two former pumphouses situated on Crown land on the Yarra bank on the northern side of Alexandra Avenue, on either side of the Cremorne railway bridge (opposite 66 Darling Street). These pumphouses were originally owned and operated by the Mauri Yeast Company. Council sought the demolition of the structures as they had long been the target of graffiti and bill posters. The photos were deposited at the Archives as a condition of the planning permit (0877/05)
