Description: Photo of part of the timber yard complex, corner Browning Street, showing damage caused by the fire of 13 December 1933. For press coverage of the fire (Age and Argus), see #11667. Various buildings, including the yard chimney stack, appear to have lain derelict for decades before the big clean up -- see for example photo 13345 of yard cleanup with the Housing Commission high rise towers in the background (built early 1960s).
