Description: Black and white photo of the Church of England building built in Whitehorse Road on the Blackburn side of Middleborough Road in 1883. The building was removed and re-erected in Box Hill in 1889. The building was destoyed by fire. The trustees of the Box Hill Church agreed to pay two hundred pounds towards the building of a new church in Blackburn in Queen Street. St John's Church of England was dedicated in 1890.
