Description: Black and white photo of Australian Tesselated Tile Co. Works. The tileworks began operation in Mitcham, Victoria, in 1886. The founding manager was Edgar Edward Walker and his involvement with the company continued until his death in 1936. The company manufactured u-shaped drain tiles, quarry paving tiles and dry-pressed tiles (dust tiles). In 1960 Australian Tessalated Tile Company became a subsidiary of Rocla Industries Ltd. and ceased operation in 1965. (14 cm x 9 cm)
