Description: Location: Duncans Road, near Whites Road, Werribee South. Home built by Tom Fowles who pioneered pre-fab concrete construction later used by Housing Commission to construct two storey homes at Port Melbourne. His house was built of concrete slabs in 1930. Tom was an engineer who migrated to Australia in the early 1920`s and operated a dairy farm at the above location. He also began the Working Man`s College here; it was not successful.
