Description: Size: 247 x 191 mm Mrs. Webb and five young children stand on the footpath outside their house, probably at 51 Park Street (near Bloomburg Street). The house is brick with lacework on the verandah and a picket fence. (The house is still there although somewhat altered in appearance). Mrs. Webb wears a dark dress with impractical leg o' mutton sleeves and an apron whose small bib suggests it is more decorative than practical. Her hair is pulled back tightly into a bun. There are two girls, two boys and a baby. The boys are dressed in jackets, knickerbocker length trousers, stockings and boots. Their hair is quite short with a cowlick in front. The girls and the baby wear white pinafores over their dresses. While the younger two also wear boots the older girl has been considered grown-up enough to graduate to shoes with a strap.
