Description: Size: 149 x 199 mm The rear of the Town Hall can be seen in the foreground. In the middle ground is vacant land (now taken up by the railway line and Gahan's Reserve). Stanton Street is not yet in existence. A number of houses are under construction in Park Street. The eastern side of Nicholson Street south of Vere Street is almost all vacant land and Gipps Street ends at Nicholson Street. The short street in the foreground parallel to Park Street is Liverpool Street which was to make way for the railway line in 1900.
