Description: Size: 108 x 153 mm A view of Gahan's Reserve looking east towards Park Street. The gardens are far more elaborately landscaped than they are nowadays. Gravel paths edged with rocks curve around flower beds, which are carefully protected against depredation by post and wire-netting fences. A large round raised flower bed in the middle has a gas lamp as centrepiece, and two gardeners pose for the photo. There are also two little girls on the path. In the background there is a good view of a number of houses in Park Street and back views of two storey houses in Charles Street. To the left is the grocer's Walter L.
