Description: Size: 88 x 138 mm A hand-coloured postcard of Smith Street looking south. The shops which can be seen on the left are numbers 196 to 130 approximately, including Coon Brothers boot shop at number 196, Hazell Furnishings at number 182-184, the Post Office, Sutton's Boot Warehouse at number 170, T. N. Sheehan's drapery, Treadway's drapery at number 154 and Foy and Gibson's drapery at number 130, the last a four-storey building with a huge sign on the side. A number of pedestrians are on the footpath and the road and a cable tram and several horse-drawn vehicles can also be seen.
