Description: Size: 112 x 159 mm A group picnic outing featuring the same 'Mum' (Ada Payne) as photo 445. Most of the young men wear the small narrow-brimmed hats tipped to the back of the head that gave the youth of this period a larrikinish air. Ada Payne married into the Ludlow family and there are a number of Ludlows in this photo including husband or husband-to-be William, hatless in the back row, Ethel, second from the left in the middle row, and Alice, second from the left in the front row.
