Description: Postcard of Johnston Street looking west towards Hoddle Street. On the south side is E. Sutcliffe's chemist (number 263) and W. Stokes hairdresser's (number 243), indicated by striped posts and an advertisement for Havelock tobacco. On the far side of Hoddle Street is the Sir Henry Loch Hotel. On a shop verandah on the north side of Johnston Street is a painted sign 'Try our 1'3 Tea'. A Carlton cable tram and a number of carriages move along the street.
