Description: Inside the School Hall next to the church, clothing is laid out on pews with signs such as 'Children's 3d', 'Men's 1d', 'Women's 1d'. The hall is full of people, mainly women with a few men and children. This church was the relief centre for the Collingwood Methodist Mission and gave clothes and food to the needy, especially during the 1930s Depression. Goods could be sent free of charge by rail to the Collingwood or Victoria Park stations. It is not clear whether this photo shows this sort of relief work as it would not be usual to charge for the clothes.
