Description: Image held by Fitzroy Library. No. 10 which is on the left with No.6 on the right. No.8 was classified as a'good weatherboard'. This was 'Not for sale to the Housing Commission'. Taken within the block Church Street-Rae Street- Nicholson Street. Targeted by Housing Commission, Victoria for broadscale demolition and construction of highrise apartment blocks. This was opposed by residents, both tenants and owners and factories. This campaign was a turning point in public housing policy and practice in Victoria.
