Description: Image held at Richmond Library. A photograph published in the Richmond Guardian newspaper of five soldiers sitting on camels in front of the Sphinx and the Pyramids in Egypt. Egyptian men lead the camels. The label printed under the photograph (not reproduced on this copy) reads: 'The picture includes Ernest Thake, son of Mr & Mrs Thake, Woodlawn St, Richmond; Frank Newbegin, son of Mr & Mrs A. Newbegin, Swan St, Burnley; William Hard, son of Mr J. Hard, Coppin St, Burnley.'
