Description: Image held at Richmond Library. A crowd of spectators watch a woman seemingly about to fire a rifle which is mounted on a tent-like structure. The surrounding area is rocky. Shooting was a popular sport in the early 1900s. In 1905 the Richmond Rifle Club had more members than any other in the state. Information accompanying the photograph reads: '1910? The date is uncertain. This is possibly the opening day of the local rifle club's season. The rifle range may have been in the quarries in Mary St'.
