Description: Image held at Richmond Library. An architect's drawing of St Ignatius Church, inscribed at the bottom left-hand corner 'Wardell & Vernon, architects'. Two angels hold the floorplan in the top right-hand corner of the illustration. Building of the church was begun in 1867, and mass first celebrated there in 1870. The spire was completed in 1928. This is a relatively recent photograph of the original drawing, source unknown. For further information about St Ignatius' Church, consult Richmond Library local history files RFC 271 and RFC 210.
